Two New Discoveries & Many More Smiles!

Another great Monday with the girls.  Hard to believe another week is here...I really hope they start to slow down a little!  It's amazing at how each day flies by, even if we are just hanging out and playing at home in our pajamas.
As little Miss Molly sat content in her swing, bouncy seat, or Mommy's lap today smiling and cooing like crazy, Brynnie was off making new discoveries, like usual.

After getting Molly situated after eating, I walked into the kitchen to find Brynn peaking at me through the window from the porch.  She thought she was pretty sneaky and cute.

I went around the corner and caught her in the act trying to reach for anything she could get her hands on!

I finally had to do a little furniture rearranging so she couldn't reach the window from the couch!  What a stinker!
Her second discovery of the day is one that makes her brother, Ben, a very happy dog.  I've been trying to give Brynn her meals on plates in her high chair lately hoping she'll make less of a mess (ha!) and understand that "big girls" eat with plates & utensils.  But...she instead she discovered that if she lifts the plate up and tips it a little, everything that she doesn't want to eat slides into a neat little pile on the floor...perfect for Ben!  I guess the high chair tray is good enough for now!

Cousins and More Cousins

Tonight we got to spend time at Cameron and Emmy's house...Brynn & Molly's cousins.  Not only did they get to play, but their second cousins, Lexie and Sammy (who are here visiting from Dallas) got to hang out and play also...it was the first time the kids got to meet- how fun!!!  As you can see from the pictures, it didn't take long for the cousins to warm up to each other!  Great Aunt Judy spent time with us tonight too.  We are looking forward to spending more time with them at the party tomorrow night before they have to go back to Texas!

Brynn and her cousin Cameron were having fun playing with each other!

Molly got some great cuddle time with Great Aunt Judy!
What a great night!

Blue-Eyed Beauties

My blue-eyed girls..........................I will wonder forever....how did I get so lucky?!

A Little of This and That...

Just a few recent pictures to share from the last few days.  I love how this new "online scrapbook" that I've created (until I have the time/energy to make real ones for the girls) has really forced me into taking lots of pictures...my husband thinks I'm a little nuts but I know we won't regret documenting all of these precious memories...even if they are just from an ordinary day.

So last night while I was doing the dishes, Brynn would not stop hanging on my leg.  So I set her on a stool in front of the sink and figured she might as well get a lesson in washing the dishes...she loved it!  We were both more wet than the kitchen sink by the time we were done, but it was worth the fun!

Yes, I was a bad mother this morning...we had chocolate chip cookies for breakfast.  My justification.....they had oatmeal in them!

Word-ful Wednesday

So I know in the blogging world that Wednesday are sometimes called "Wordless Wednesdays" but it would be hard to share my stories without words, so I'm going against the grain!!  Our last few days have been pretty normal, which these days means eventful and full of funny stories and kodak moments (at least in Mommy's eyes!).
Each morning, if  I don't pick up Ben's water dish before Brynn gets up and heads to it, we usually have some sort of catastrophe...either a wet child, a puddle on the floor, or even a shattered glass dish.  Yesterday, the gathering at the water dish made me laugh out loud, and therefore I found it impossible to discipline!  Brynn decided that she would wash Molly's binky...

Then...today....As I was finishing giving Molly a bottle, Brynn was digging through the "treat" drawer which has become a favorite pastime.  She took the box of crackers and before I could get Molly situated and take the box from Brynn, we had a shower of crackers.  It was a race between 3 of us...Brynn, Mommy, and Ben.  Brynn and Ben were shoving them in their mouths as fast as they could while I tried to clean them up!  Maybe a perfect opportunity to teach Brynn a lesson in cleaning up...instead, I grabbed the camera!

Another great day...what am I going to do when I have two giving me "kodak" moments to capture?!  For now, Molly sits back and takes it all in...good thing cause I can barely keep up with her sister!  Love it:)

Halloween

A busy weekend came and went...but not without some tricks & treats.  It was Molly's first Halloween and Brynn's first one as a real "trick or treater"!  Brynn was a leopard and stayed warm in her fleece fur!  Molly was a little daisy and preferred to be snuggled in her blanket not caring to show off her costume!  We spent the evening at both grandparents.  Brynn had more fun watching the other kids who came to the doors and playing with her cousins!

Football-less Friday

So its our first Friday night of being home together without football...a little strange (more so for Daddy) but we'll quickly get used to more time together...yay!!!
Another great day with the girls.  They were both up during the night last night (odd for Brynn- thanks teeth) so they slept in this morning..til 9:30. I had to wonder if time had gone in fast-forward and they were already teenagers...scary!!!
The day quickly passed (they're all going too fast) and it was time to wait for daddy to come home...one of our favorite times of the day.  All I have to say is "Daddy's comin" and both Ben and Brynn go to the window like they did in this picture a few days ago...

Here's to a great weekend of Molly's first Halloween, a little candy for Brynnie, and Molly's baptism.
